Prof. As. Dr. Deniz D. Güney

Deniz GUNEY, Ph.D., Profesor i Asociuar, është inxhinier civil dhe strukturist, si dhe akademik i specializuar në inxhinierinë e tërmeteve, analizën strukturore dhe vlerësimin e performancës sizmike të ndërtesave. Ai ka përfunduar studimet B.Sc., M.Sc. dhe Ph.D. në Inxhinieri Civile në Universitetin Teknik të Stambollit, ku kërkimi i tij doktoral u përqendrua në përgjigjen jolineare përdredhëse të strukturave të parregullta nën veprimin e ngarkesave sizmike.

Gjatë karrierës së tij, Dr. GUNEY ka ndërthurur mësimdhënien akademike, kërkimin shkencor dhe praktikën profesionale në fushën e inxhinierisë. Ai ka mbajtur pozicione akademike në Universitetin Teknik të Stambollit, Universitetin Teknik Yıldız, San Diego State University dhe Universitetin Metropolitan të Tiranës, si dhe ka punuar si inxhinier profesionist dhe menaxher projektesh në Turqi dhe Rumani. Përvoja e tij ndërkombëtare në mësimdhënie dhe kërkim përfshin veprimtari akademike dhe angazhime mësimdhënëse në kuadër të Erasmus-it në vende të ndryshme të Evropës, si dhe pjesëmarrje në programe të specializuara ndërkombëtare në Spanjë, Austri, Bosnje dhe Hercegovinë, Itali dhe Norvegji. Në Japoni, ai mori pjesë në Programin e Trajnimit dhe Dialogut të JICA-s për Kodet e Ndërtimit dhe Sistemet e Kontrollit në Tokio, duke fituar përvojë të specializuar ndërkombëtare në fushën e rregulloreve të ndërtimit, sigurisë sizmike dhe sistemeve të kontrollit të ndërtimeve.

Fushat e tij të kërkimit përfshijnë projektimin e strukturave rezistente ndaj tërmeteve, dinamikën strukturore, rehabilitimin sizmik, vlerësimin e dëmtimeve strukturore, strukturat me muraturë, izolimin sizmik dhe analizën llogaritëse të strukturave. Ai ka autorësuar një numër të konsiderueshëm publikimesh të rishikuara nga kolegët në revista shkencore dhe konferenca ndërkombëtare, si dhe ka udhëhequr kërkime në nivelin master dhe doktoraturë. Vlerësimi i tij akademik ndërkombëtar përfshin edhe një Bursë Kërkimore për Studiues Vizitorë, të akorduar nga Këshilli i Kërkimeve i Norvegjisë.
