UMT’s student conducts internship abroad on Artificial Intelligence

Enes Stastoli, a second-year master’s student in Computer Engineering at UMT, is currently in France following an internship in the domain of Artificial Intelligence and Data Science at Institut Français du Petrole- Energies Nouvelles (IFP-EN). This internship is funded by IFP-EN and the Erasmus+ Programme in the framework of the interinstitutional agreement signed between UMT and Paris-Est Creteil University.

The topics treated by Enes in his internship are:

  • Analyzing and visualizing data gathered from different sources in JSON or CSV (Comma Separated Values) format.
  • Working with LLMs (Large Language Models) such as GPT-4, GPT-3.5 by Open AI, and Huggingface to design and craft prompts through prompt engineering for LLMs to generate automatic code and build data visualization dashboards.
  • Using  LangChain framework to enable LLMs to connect and process external data sources.
  • Using the Streamlit library to build and share custom web data apps.
  • Performance evaluation of each used LLM in this process.

Internationalization is a key priority for the Universiteti Metropolitan Tirana which offers its students the possibility of carrying out internships in European companies and/or  Research Laboratories.
