Prof. Asoc. Dr. Lekë Pepkolaj

Lekë Pepkolaj është diplomuar në matematikë 5 vjeçare pranë Universitetit të Tiranës në vitin 1998. Në vitin 2015 ka përfunduar studimet doktorale në matematikë në Universitetin e Salernos, Itali, ndërsa në vitin 2023 i është dhënë titulli Profesor i Asociuar nga Universiteti i Tiranës. Aktualisht është zëvendësdekan i Fakultetit të Shkencave Kompjuterike dhe IT-së, koordinator i Shkollës së Doktoraturës, si dhe titullar i lëndës Algjebër–Gjeometri për Inxhinierinë, në Universitetin Metropolitan Tirana. 

Produkti i tij kërkimor-shkencor përqendrohet në drejtime si: didaktika e matematikës dhe e-learning; trajnimi i mësuesve të matematikës, përfshirë çështje kyçe si motivimi dhe zgjedhja e karrierës së mësuesit; qasjet STEM dhe arsimi konvergjent; vlerësimi PISA, si dhe përdorimi i Inteligjencës Artificiale dhe Learning Analytics në përmirësimin e procesit të mësimdhënies/nxënies. 

Që nga viti 2018 është pjesë e Grupit të Vlerësimit të Jashtëm për akreditimin e institucioneve dhe programeve të studimit në arsimin e lartë pranë në vendin tonë, duke kontribuar drejtpërdrejt në proceset e sigurimit të cilësisë dhe vlerësimit institucional. 

Po ashtu është lektor me kohë të pjesshme në Universitetin e Shkodrës (2018-), ka qenë lektor me kohë të plotë në Albanian University (2015–2021), ku mbajti role akademike dhe administrative si koordinator i lëndëve të formimit bazë, koordinator i programit Erasmus+ në nivel departamenti dhe anëtar i Njësisë së Sigurimit të Brendshëm të Cilësisë, dhe më pas (2021–2023) ushtronte detyrën e Drejtuesit të Departamentit të Teknologjisë së Informacionit në Kolegjin Universitar “Qiriazi”. 

Ka një veprimtari të pasur kërkimore dhe shkencore, me rreth 55 publikime dhe referime në revista dhe konferenca brenda dhe jashtë vendit. Është pjesë e bordit shkencor për shumë revista dhe konferenca dhe ka marrë pjesë në projekte të ndryshme si koordinator dhe partner. Gjithashtu, është reviewer për shumë revista kombëtare dhe ndërkombëtare. Puna e tij ka kontribuar në përmirësimin e praktikave pedagogjike të proceseve mësimore, si dhe të politikave për sigurimin e cilësisë në arsimin e lartë dhe atë parauniversitar. 

Përveç veprimtarisë akademike, është aktiv në diskutimin publik mbi arsimin, duke botuar rregullisht artikuj divulgativ në shtypin e kohës mbi çështje aktuale dhe delikate me ndikim në informimin dhe formimin e shoqërisë.
