More than 40 companies and institutions from various sectors of the economy participated in the 2026 Job and Career Fair, one of the most important events of the academic year at University Metropolitan Tirana. The event aims to connect students with concrete employment opportunities, professional internships, and collaboration with industry.
Organized at the university’s Innovation Center, the fair served as a dynamic meeting platform for students, academic staff, and company representatives, creating real opportunities for dialogue on career development and professional orientation for young people.
In his welcoming speech, Prof. Dr. Nikolla Civici, Rector of University Metropolitan Tirana, emphasized the strategic importance of sustainable cooperation with the private sector and public institutions as a key element in preparing students for the labor market:
“Involving companies in academic activities and exchanging expertise with professionals in relevant fields adds significant value to the quality of our study programs and to the practical training of our students.”
Meanwhile, Eng. Arjan Çukaj, President of University Metropolitan Tirana, highlighted the university’s role in empowering young people through academic, professional, and innovative activities:
“University Metropolitan Tirana represents key areas of societal and economic development, such as engineering, information technology, architecture, and economics. Through numerous activities during the academic year, we aim to create concrete opportunities for students’ active involvement in professional life.”
A special moment of the event was the contribution of Sheron Kaçerja, a #UMT alumna and currently part of Deloitte Albania, who shared her professional experience with students, emphasizing the importance of participating in such activities during their years of study:
“Engagement in events like the Job and Career Fair creates real bridges of communication with companies and helps students build their professional profile early.”
During the fair, students had the opportunity to engage in direct meetings with company representatives, learn about internship and employment opportunities, and build valuable connections for their future career paths.
The 2026 Job and Career Fair once again confirms the commitment of University Metropolitan Tirana to building a sustainable university–industry collaboration ecosystem, placing students at the center of the academic and professional development process and strengthening the university’s role as an active contributor to human capital development in the country.
