International Students
Universiteti Metropolitan Tirana welcomes international students every academic year through its standard registration process. International applicants are eligible to apply for admission to all English taught programs. Each prospective international student must fulfil the admission requirements, follow the procedures, and submit the necessary registration documents outlined below.

Criteria:
Completion of High School
Applicant students must have completed their High School and be equipped with the legal documentation of the completion of this level of education
Enrolment
Applicant students must not be enrolled in another study program within and outside the Republic of Albania.
GPA
Applicants are required to have a high school average of at least 6.5 out of 10 or its equivalent.
English Level
Students need to provide proof of English language proficiency at the “B1” level according to the CEFR through one of the following examinations: Cambridge, TOEFL Paper-based, TOEFL Internet-based, IELTS, TOEIC, or APTIS.
Students who have completed their studies at a high school where instruction is entirely conducted in English are exempt from this requirement.

- National examination (General examination after completing the high school studies) if it is applied in applicant’s home country
- For Master of Science study programs applicant students must provide notarised university diploma and transcript of records;
- Copy of Passport;
- An English proficiency certificate demonstrating a B1 level in one of the following exams: Cambridge, TOEFL, IELTS, TOEIC, or APTIS (if the applicant student does not have it in the moment of application, the deadline for submitting it is before getting the admission letter);
- Registration Payment Mandate.
Students must apply for their visa based on the Visa regime for foreign citizens issued by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs.
Applicant students may apply through e-Visa which is an online application system developed by the Albanian government to pre-screen travellers wishing to visit Albania.
Applicants have full access to the e-Visa application system. They must complete the e-Visa process before traveling to Albania by air, land or sea. https://e-visa.al/apply
Required Documents -Visa for study purposes (D)
- Visa application form, completed by the applicant, which is available online free of charge (the application form is completed online during the application, is generated and downloaded by the system);
- Photograph of the applicant, with dimensions 47 mm x 36 mm;
- Photocopy of the valid travel document;
- Statement according to the legal provisions, where the consent of the parent or legal guardian is expressed according to the legislation in force for the travel of the minor;
- Invitation signed by the host;
- Document certifying the registration / admission to an educational institution in Albania;
- Financial evidence, proving the coverage of living and education expenses;
- Certificate proving language proficiency, with which the visa applicant will conduct studies. Proof of language proficiency can also be verified by interview with the person in charge of consular affairs at the embassy or consulate;
- Document certifying accommodation in the territory of the Republic of Albania;
- Document proving the legal status of the inviting entity;
- Residence permits more than 12 months, issued from the country of residence, with a validity period of at least 3 addition months than the duration period of the required visa;
- The full bank statement showing the money going in and money leaving your account for the last 12 months.
