Dr.Nikolla Nika – Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
Professor Nikola Nika has worked for a long time at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, where he has lectured and given seminars in the fields of material resistance, theoretical mechanics, resilience theory, theory of modeling of building structures, etc.He has done many studies in the field of structure optimization, experimentation, tensometry, photo elasticity and space structures, while working as a freelance engineer contributing his expertise to many important projects.
Dr. Ernest Shtepani – Head of the Architecture Department, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
Dr. Ernest Shtepani is an architect and lecturer at Tirana Metropolitan University. After finishing his studies in Tirana, he followed the master’s studies at the Anhalt University of Applied Sciences in Dessau in Germany, where he specialized in Architecture, Architectural Theory, Urban Design and Spatial Planning. He completed his PhD studies at the Czech Technical University in Prague.
Dr. Shtepani has worked as an architect, as an urban planning expert at the Ministry of Urban Development and as a lecturer at several universities in the country. Since 2019, he has been part of UMT where he lectures in the subjects of architecture, urban planning, urban design and architectural theory.
He has participated in several international conferences and seminars and is the author of five academic scientific papers in the field of architecture.
Prof. Dr. Mersin Shena – Head of the Natural Sciences Department, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture
There are many important publications of Prof. Shena in scientific journals at home and abroad, recognized with editorial boards, up to those with an impact factor, as well as references held at conferences. national and international.
He has authored and co-authored ten university textbooks and a monograph, a good part of them published in the University Book Publishing House, as well as pre-university level didactic materials. He holds the Physics 1 and Physics 2 disciplines in the Computer Engineering and Electrical Engineering study programs of the Faculty of Computer Science and IT.
Dr. Elton Domnori – Head of Department of Computer Science, Faculty of Coumputer Science and IT
Dr. Elton Domnori completed his higher studies at the Università degli Studi di Modena in Reggio Emilia, Italy. In 2012, he completed his doctoral studies in Computer Engineering and Science.
After an experience as a software developer at Kion/CINECA, Dr. Since 2012, Domnori has worked as a lecturer at various universities in Albania.
Recently holds the position of deputy. Dean at the Faculty of Computer Science and IT, Tirana Metropolitan University. The main areas of work and research are the optimization of programming languages, data management systems and distributed systems.
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Lutfi Saqe – Head of Department of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and IT
Prof. Assoc. Dr. Lutfi Saqe is part of the Electrical and Electronic Engineering Department. With an academic career of over 40 years, he has received the title of Doctor of Science in 1994 and the title of “Associate Professor” in 1995 with the dissertation topic “Two optimization problems in the energy system”.
Professor Saqe is the author of many scientific studies and textbooks in the field of electronics. Among the titles of his works are “Computational methods: Applications in the energy system”, “Nonlinear optimization with applications”, “Shkopet HPP simulation model”, etc. Since 2012, he is part of Tirana Metropolitan University.
Dr. Denis Veliu – Head of the Finance Department, Faculty of Economics
Dr. Pjetër Ndreca – Head of the Economic Informatics Department, Faculty of Economics
Dr. Pjetër Ndreca completed his studies in finance at the Agricultural University of Tirana, while he also earned a Doctor of Science degree in the field of economics and agribusiness. Professor Ndreca has a long experience in public administration, where he held leadership positions in important institutions such as the Ministry of the Interior or the Ministry of Finance.
He has a number of certifications, including “Internal Auditor in the Public Sector” or “Trainer of International Public Sector Accounting Standards”. Professor Ndreca is the author and co-author of about 30 scientific articles published in the country and abroad.
In the years 2014-2017, Dr. Ndreca was Dean of the Faculty of Economics at the University College of Business. Then, in the years 2017-2019, he headed the Department of Finance and Accounting at the Faculty of Economics at KUB. Since 2019, he holds the position of Head of the Department of Finance and Deputy Dean of the Faculty of Economics at Tirana Metropolitan University.
Dr. Roland Subashi – Head of the Department of Administrative Sciences, Faculty of Economics
Graduated in Economics at “International University” in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Dr. Roland Subashi has a long career in the banking system and in the academic world. After completing his bachelor’s studies, he completed his master’s studies at the University of Tirana and Nebraska in the United States of America and then in 2015 he completed his doctorate at the University of Tirana.
Dr. Subashi was part of the “International Trade Bank”, “Credit Bank of Albania”, “Veneto Bank” and “United Bank of Albania”. He also worked in the public administration, where he held the position of Deputy Director and Director of the Inspection Department in the General Directorate of Money Laundering Prevention as well as in the Ministry of Finance. Since 2008, he has been an external lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, while since September 2019 he is part of the Metropolitan University of Tirana, where he holds the position of Head of the Department of Administrative Sciences. He has conducted a series of trainings inside and outside the country, such as in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria, USA, France or Italy in the field of finance and technology.
