Processing of Personal Data
UMT processes the personal data of students, academic and administrative staff, applicants, alumni, parents/guardians, partners, and third parties connected to its educational and research activities, for purposes including:
- Developing academic programs and supporting students;
- Managing contractual relationships with staff and collaborators;
- Ensuring academic quality, assessment, and graduation;
- Managing payments, scholarships, and financial services;
- Promoting and developing the institution through websites, social media, and other publications;
- Ensuring suitable teaching conditions and physical security through the CCTV system;
- Complying with legal requirements, inspections, and reporting to public authorities such as the Ministry of Education and Sports, AKKSHI, KSHL, etc.
Legal Basis for Processing
UMT processes personal data based on:
- Contracts with students and employees;
- Legal obligations under current education and data protection laws;
- The legitimate interests of the institution for efficient operation, academic development, and representation;
- Consent of individuals, when required (e.g., use of images in marketing).
What Data We Collect
Depending on your relationship with UMT, we may collect the following categories of data:
- Identifying data: first and last name, personal ID number, date of birth, identity documents;

- Academic data: grades, student files, diplomas, participation in activities, training;
- Financial data: payments, fees, bank account details (excluding sensitive data such as credit card numbers);
- Health or sensitive data: (with consent or for legal reasons);
- Data from our security systems: (CCTV, IT system access);
- Images/photos/videos: taken during university events or for promotional purposes.

- Third-party service providers for IT, marketing, or consultancy, with guarantees for confidential storage;

Your Rights and Withdrawal of Consent
You have the right to:

- Request correction or deletion of your data (where applicable);
- Restrict processing or object to its use;
- Withdraw consent at any time, if processing is based on consent;
- Withdraw your participation in activities, notifying the University freely and without negative consequences;
- Submit a complaint to the Commissioner for the Right to Information and Personal Data Protection.
Withdrawal of consent or participation does not affect the lawfulness of data processing carried out prior to the withdrawal.

UMT may use your contact data to:
- Inform you about events, announcements, or University promotional campaigns;
- Invite you to alumni activities or fundraising events;
- Share success stories, publications, and research projects via social media and official channels.
