MSc. Nevila Samarxhi

With over 30 years of professional experience in graphic design and visual communication, MSc Nevila Samarxhi has joined the academic staff of University Metropolitan Tirana as a Lecturer, where she contributes to teaching and the professional development of students in the field of Graphic Design. Nevila holds a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Design and a Master of Science (MSc) in Public Relations and Communication. With a long and established career in the field of design, she has contributed professionally for approximately 30 years as Design Director at “Gazeta Shqiptare”, one of the country’s leading media outlets, as a designer at the Official Publications Center, and as a designer at Bunk’Art 1 and 2. Her professional experience includes editorial design, visual communication, publishing, and the development of various digital and print graphic design projects. Alongside her academic engagement, she continues her professional activity as a graphic designer and is involved in various national and international projects. 

Throughout her professional career, Nevila Samarxhi has designed and laid out more than 500 books, collaborating with Albanian and international authors. In addition to her extensive professional experience, she has several years of experience in university teaching, particularly in the field of design, teaching courses related to Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Communication, Editorial Design, Digital Marketing, and other areas of communication and design. Her academic experience has consistently been combined with professional practice, providing students with a direct perspective on the requirements and developments of the professional market. With her extensive experience, Lecturer Nevila Samarxhi brings to University Metropolitan Tirana a valuable combination of professional practice and academic experience, contributing to the preparation of a new generation of professionals in the field.
