Dr. Ndriçim Topalli is a Software Engineer and researcher in the field of Artificial Intelligence, with extensive experience in software system development and teaching. He currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Economic Informatics at the University Metropolitan University Tirana, where he is engaged in academic leadership, curriculum development, staff coordination, and institutional accreditation processes.
He has over 5 years of professional experience in international companies such as PAREXEL in Nottingham, England, where he contributed to the development of software systems for clinical research and applications in the pharmaceutical industry. In addition, he has more than 10 years of teaching experience in the field of Computer Science, with a primary focus on Artificial Intelligence.
Dr. Topalli completed his Bachelor’s and Master’s studies in “Computer Science and Software Engineering” at the University of Birmingham, England, as well as his PhD in Computer Science at the University of Reading, England, with a focus on Artificial Intelligence, Multimodal Systems, and privacy protection in Intelligent Systems. His research areas include Artificial Intelligence, Computer Vision, Multimodal Systems, Privacy-Preserving AI, and data-driven architectures of Intelligent Systems.
