RoboTech Competition

Why RoboTech?

University Metropolitan Tirana, committed to education, scientific research, and the development of innovative technologies, aims to lead through advanced programs such as the PhD in Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems. In this context, UMT has launched the “RoboTech” initiative, an innovative competition that engages students from general secondary schools, equipping them with skills in robotics and the creation of intelligent systems.

Through this competition, young participants develop technological skills, creativity, and practical problem-solving abilities, preparing them for the challenges of the future. UMT seeks not only to create an educational and inspiring platform, but also to foster a new generation of innovators who contribute to the technological development of Albania and beyond.in a journey of innovation, learning, and discovery!

Are you curious? Do you have innovative ideas that you would like to create and develop? Join the RoboTech team at University Metropolitan Tirana.
Are you ready to build something amazing? Form a team of 4–7 general secondary school students, come up with a project idea, and apply! You will work with mentors, receive hands-on training, and present your robot to a panel of experts.
Support your students as they dive into robotics and AI! RoboTech offers schools hands-on training, including access to workshops, mentoring, and technical support to help students succeed in technology and innovation.
Partnering with RoboTech is an opportunity to foster innovation among Albania’s youth. By supporting RoboTech, industry partners gain visibility, help shape a technologically skilled generation, and contribute to sustainable and innovation-driven development.

Through Robotech, students become problem-solvers and leaders, ready to build a better, more sustainable future.

Projects and Ideas

At RoboTech, general secondary school students will apply concepts of robotics and AI to provide solutions to real-world problems. They will develop projects aimed at making a meaningful impact. Here are some of the areas students will explore:
Projects in the field of smart tourism aim to use intelligent technology to enhance the visitor experience and promote tourist destinations. These include guide robots that provide information about points of interest, as well as visitor flow management robots that help guide tourists in crowded areas, improving safety and comfort.

Here’s the translation:

Smart Agriculture
Smart agriculture projects focus on automating and monitoring the agricultural environment to increase productivity and sustainability. This includes robots that patrol fields to measure soil moisture or conditions, as well as seed distribution or smart irrigation robots that optimize farming tasks and reduce the excessive use of resources.
