University Metropolitan Tirana (UMT) continues to strengthen its international profile through the Erasmus+ Programme, one of the European Union’s most important initiatives for academic and cultural exchange. This program provides our students with the opportunity to study at partner universities across Europe, while also welcoming international students who choose Tirana as their academic destination.

Incoming Students
At the same time, UMT continues to strengthen its role as a welcoming university for international students. This semester, we are pleased to host:
- David Luque Exposito, from the University of Málaga, Spain, who will join the Faculty of Economics in the Professional Program in Tourism, Hospitality, and Events Management.
The presence of international students enriches academic life at UMT, encouraging cultural diversity, exchange of ideas, and the creation of a more open and global community.
Why Erasmus+ Matters for UMT
Participation in Erasmus+ is not only an opportunity for study abroad but also a life-changing experience that develops professional and personal competencies. Students acquire new linguistic, intercultural, and academic skills, making them better prepared for the global labor market.
At the same time, hosting international students enhances cultural interaction and transforms UMT into a hub where ideas, traditions, and perspectives converge.
UMT’s Commitment to Internationalization
Erasmus+ exchanges reflect UMT’s strong commitment to building bridges of cooperation with leading European universities. Through these partnerships, UMT aims to enhance the quality of education, strengthen its academic network, and create new opportunities for both students and faculty.
