MSc. Anxhelo Shehu, Assistant Lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and IT and a PhD student at the Doctoral School of University Metropolitan Tirana, is conducting scientific research at ESIEE Paris as part of the academic exchange program between UMT and ESIEE Paris, which is part of Université Gustave Eiffel.
For the second consecutive year, Anxhelo has been awarded a research scholarship from the French Embassy, this time under the RIFA 2025 program, which supports his academic mobility and stay at ESIEE Paris.
During his stay, he is working under the supervision of Prof. René Natowicz. His research focuses on the breast cancer early detection using Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Deep Learning (DL) techniques to analyze mammographic images.
This study aims to provide valuable support in oncology for breast cancer diagnosis and the identification of early signs associated with a high risk of developing the cancer.
