Summer School
The “Summer School” is UMT’s annual program for students and high school graduates, offering training in several important fields. This initiative provides opportunities to expand knowledge and skills in various disciplines, including but not limited to: Public Communication, Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, Robotics, Interior Design of an Apartment, Leadership, Web Development, Digital Marketing, and Modular Home Design, among many other topics.
Sports Activities
At UMT, students are highly active in organized sports activities. They participate in competitions and tournaments, engaging in various disciplines such as football, basketball, and volleyball. Beyond entertainment, these experiences help them develop new skills and build lasting friendships throughout their university years. Sports activities are an essential part of student life, contributing to their growth as responsible and engaged individuals.RoboTech Competition
RoboTech is an initiative designed to provide high school students passionate about coding and robotics with a hands-on learning environment where they can explore how robotic systems operate and build autonomous robotic systems. In this competition, students will engage in teamwork, develop problem-solving skills, and construct simple robotic systems that will compete against each other.
Opendoor Fest
UMT Opendoor Fest is an event dedicated to students, offering them the opportunity to explore the most trending fields of study, such as artificial intelligence, computer science, architecture, engineering, and economics. UMT students, as part of student clubs, organize fun activities, games, and music, creating a warm and friendly atmosphere. Participants not only gain valuable information about study opportunities but also enjoy an entertaining experience, making it an unforgettable day that perfectly blends learning and fun.Student Clubs

MetroArt Club

MetroArt aims to inspire students at the University of Metropolitan Tirana to showcase their talents through various club activities. Initially, the MetroArt Club analyzes the talents of its members and then plans an activity agenda. Some of the activities include painting and photography competitions. A key project, the mural, has been finalized and will begin realization in the new academic year at the UMT entrance. Additionally, many other activities, such as installations, contests, and exhibitions, are planned.

UMT-MVP’s Sports Club

The Sports Club program is designed to serve the interests of students in various sports and recreational activities. These interests may be competitive or educational, as the clubs may represent the University in inter-university competitions or organize activities within the club. Over the years, the club has hosted various events, such as football, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and chess championships.
Entrepreneurship Club

The Entrepreneurship Club aims to provide a channel through which students can access entrepreneurial resources, connect with entrepreneurs in the community, and share ideas. The club is committed to further developing connections with new and small businesses. The Entrepreneurship Club is an environment where students can cultivate their entrepreneurial skills. Students in the club will participate in business development, ideally by creating a startup.
MetroTalk Discussions Club

The MetroTalk Debate Club offers students from all fields a fun way to develop their argumentation skills, defend their points, and improve public speaking. The Debate Club uses various activities to assist students with critical thinking and communication. The club also helps students become more informed about politics and global issues or provides a place for students to practice for debate competitions.

The Web Developers Club brings together individuals passionate about web development. Metro4all Charity Club

The Charity Club brings together students from various academic backgrounds but with big hearts to help vulnerable groups in society. Through diverse activities, the club aims to raise awareness and collect donations in different forms. Charity activities have always been a part of UMT, but this club was formally created in 2020 by a small group of students who came together after the 2019 earthquake to assist the residents of Bubq with various contributions. After several charity activities, they decided to formalize their group into a student club.

StartUp City
One of the most prominent initiatives of the University Metropolitan Tirana is Startup City, which provides a supportive environment for students who want to develop their innovative ideas. StartUp City is the place where students and young people can develop their business ideas, presenting them in front of a prestigious jury. This competition aims to help all innovative young people with an entrepreneurial spirit to realize and present their business ideas. StartUp City adds value to the entrepreneurial ecosystem by helping startups grow and position themselves in the market. Within this ecosystem, one of the most successful projects is Robotech, a startup that emerged from the university itself and an idea of our students. Robotech and StartUp City are not only centers of technological development and innovation, but they also contribute to the professional formation of students through their role as mentors, offering advice and support to new generations of entrepreneurs.
Alumni
The role of the Alumni network at the University Metropolitan Tirana is to create and cultivate an ongoing relationship between current students, academic staff and graduates who are now continuing their professional journey in public and private institutions. Alumni represent a valuable resource for the future of the Metropolitan University of Tirana, as it is precisely the graduates of UMT who serve as the best ambassadors at home and abroad, contributing their time and competences to important academic initiatives, for career counseling and through periodic engagement in university activities. The cooperation with all generations of graduates at UMT is crowned every year with the Alumni network meeting, where success stories, ideas for joint activities and projects are shared, new institutional partnerships are created and the social network is maintained.
