From UMT to Paris for scientific research: PhD Cand. Oriod Malo in another international research experience

PhD Cand. Oriod Malo, lecturer at the Faculty of Computer Science and IT and doctoral researcher at the Doctoral School of University Metropolitan Tirana, is currently undertaking a two-month scientific research period at Grande École, ESIEE Paris, as part of his PhD studies, supported by the RIFA 2025 program of the French Embassy. 
This project represents another significant step in the academic collaboration between University Metropolitan Tirana and higher education institutions in France, further strengthening UMT’s role in international scientific research.
For the second consecutive year, Oriod has been awarded the RIFA research scholarship, a prestigious program that supports academic mobility and international collaboration among emerging researchers. Through this opportunity, he works closely with researchers and professors from France, Romania, and Brazil, exchanging experiences and innovative approaches in the field of artificial intelligence.
His current research focuses on the development of advanced artificial intelligence (AI) algorithms and systems for medical image processing, aiming to improve diagnostic methods and develop new technologies that can contribute to modern medicine.
This project, carried out within the framework of UMT’s international research collaborations, reflects the university’s commitment to promoting innovation, academic excellence, and the integration of scientific knowledge on a global scale.
