Project Description

The NEST4WB project focuses on modernizing higher education curricula in the Western Balkans (WB) to address the region’s energy challenges and reduce dependence on fossil fuels. By introducing new courses in the energy and ICT sectors, the project aims to digitize the energy system and prepare skilled professionals capable of implementing clean energy solutions. Through the development of new study programs, training centers, and knowledge transfer networks, the project seeks to equip students with competencies in emerging technologies like IoT, AI, and VR, thereby contributing to the region’s energy independence and sustainability goals.

Mission and Goals:

The mission of the NEST4WB project is to enhance the competences of students, teachers, professionals, and decision-makers across local, regional, and national levels, with a focus on modern energy market demands. The project aims to equip future professionals with the skills to effectively utilize technologies like blockchain, IoT, AI, VR, and drones to manage energy processes, develop innovative management models, and improve energy efficiency in industrial settings. By providing training and fostering knowledge exchange, the project seeks to address gaps in the energy sector and promote sustainable practices in all participating countries.
