Today, the final meeting with the team that will represent Albania in the International Economics Olympiad (IEO 2025) took place at the Metropolitan University of Tirana. This event was organized just days before the team’s departure for Baku, Azerbaijan, where the international competition will be held from October 27 to November 2, 2025.
The final meeting aimed to crown the months of intensive preparation of the five winning students of the National Economics Olympiad, which was held earlier this year, organized by the Metropolitan University of Tirana. During the presentations, team members and their coaches shared with the academic staff and institutional representatives of UMT the main phases of the preparatory process, the challenges faced, and the approach they will follow in the global competition.
The team representing Albania in IEO 2025 has been selected from the best students of high schools across the country, demonstrating not only deep knowledge in economics and finance but also skills in critical analysis, real problem-solving, and teamwork.
At the end of the event, the participants were awarded certificates of participation as a token of appreciation for their dedication throughout this journey.
