University Metropolitan Tirana, focused on engineering sciences, architecture, and economics, is committed to develop students as professionals in contemporary fields of innovation and technology. With an internationally acclaimed academic and research staff, an infrastructure of 11 laboratories, study opportunities abroad through collaboration with numerous European universities, it has been recognized as ‘Excellent,’ securing institutional accreditation from the Agency for Quality Assurance in Higher Education and the British Accreditation Agency. UMT is also the first university in Albania offering Ph.D. program in ‘Artificial Intelligence and Intelligent Systems’ and Bachelor’s program in ‘Artificial Intelligence”. Also University Metropolitan Tirana starting from September 2024 is offering two new Master’s programs in AI: Master of Science in Artificial Intelligence with two study profiles: “Data Science” and “Cybersecurity” and Master Business Analytics and Artificial Intelligence.

Is University Metropolitan Tirana accredited?
University Metropolitan Tirana has been rated “Excellent” by the British Accreditation Agency (QAA) for five years, guaranteeing every student that the degree is recognized at home and abroad. Tirana Metropolitan University has three faculties, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture, the Faculty of Computer Science and IT and the Faculty of Economics, offering Professional Study Programs, Bachelor Programs, Professional Masters and Masters of Science.
What are the criteria for admission to bachelor programs?
To enroll in bachelor programs, students must have completed the State Matura or a cycle equivalent to it. All candidates who want to attend one of the bachelor programs must meet the criteria of the average grade set by the DCM, which is currently 6.5. Applications are made only through the portal U-Albania. Any candidate interested in pursuing studies at UMT should choose the University Metropolitan Tirana as one of his 10 preferences on this portal during the application stages.

University Metropolitan Tirana evaluates the achievements of each excellent graduate by offering valid scholarships throughout the study cycle, meeting the criteria of average grades. Scholarships of excellence can be 50%, 75% and 100%. UMT also offers social scholarships for graduates from families with limited economic income.
