The Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence program prepares professionals to design, develop, and implement intelligent systems and software applications across various sectors of the digital economy. It combines modern artificial intelligence, computer science, and applied mathematics, with a strong emphasis on practical projects, ethics, and the European regulatory framework for AI.
During their studies, students build a solid foundation in programming, data structures, and algorithms, as well as applied mathematics and statistics. They also learn to develop and apply techniques such as Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science to real-world problems. Laboratory work, team projects, and industry collaborations help students develop the technical and professional skills demanded by the job market in Albania and the European Union.
- Focus on practical AI applications and the development of intelligent software for finance, healthcare, industry, energy, transport, and other strategic sectors.
- Strong foundation in programming and software engineering (Python, Java, etc.), data structures, algorithms, and software system design.
- In-depth study of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Data Science, and Computer Vision, integrated with hands-on projects and laboratory work.
- Integration of ethics, privacy, and legal requirements according to European standards (AI Act) throughout all stages of AI system development.
- Preparation for employment in technical roles (software, AI, and data) as well as for further studies in Artificial Intelligence, Software Engineering, and related fields.
The Bachelor in Artificial Intelligence program prepares students to understand and apply modern AI technologies to solve real-world problems in the economy, industry, and society, while developing a strong profile as software and intelligent systems developers. During their studies, students build a solid foundation in programming, data structures, and algorithms, as well as in numerical analysis and applied statistical modeling, forming the basis for Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Data Science.
Students work in modern laboratories using Python, Java, and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, NumPy, and Pandas, developing intelligent applications and secure, reliable software systems.
The program aims to:
- Train professionals capable of designing and developing AI systems and software applications for sectors such as finance, healthcare, industry, energy, and transport.
- Develop strong skills in programming, software engineering, and large-scale data management.
- Strengthen analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities in digital environments.
- Integrate responsible AI use, ethics, privacy, and legal requirements in accordance with EU standards.
- Prepare students for technical roles in the workforce and for postgraduate studies in AI, software development, and related fields.
By the end of the program, students will be able to:
- Apply Machine Learning and Deep Learning techniques to real-world data, evaluating model performance and limitations.
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and well-documented intelligent applications and software systems.
- Analyze data, build statistical models, and communicate results effectively to decision-makers.
- Identify ethical, legal, and societal risks of AI systems and propose solutions in compliance with the AI Act and best European practices.
