Prof. Dr. Nicholas Civici completed his Physics degree at
the Faculty of Natural Sciences, and then completed his specialization in
Analytical Chemistry. In 1997 he received the degree of "Doctor of
Science", and in 2001 the title "Professor" from the University
Prof. Dr. Civici has extensive experience working in
various institutes, as responsible for the Gas Laboratory in the Scientific
Section of Petroleum Processing, Physicist in the Department of Radiometry,
Head of the Department of Instrumental Analytical Methods, Director of the
Institute of Applied Nuclear Physics. Professor Civici has also had a
continuing commitment to the academic world, to the Faculty of Medicine and the
Faculty of Natural Sciences at the University of Tirana.
He has completed a number of training abroad in the field
of nuclear physics, fluorescence, X-rays and portable XRF systems in Austria,
Belgium, England, Germany, Italy, Greece and others. He is the author of
several academic texts, 48 scientific articles, 60 proceedings publications
and 38 references and postings at various scientific conferences.
He was a member of the INP Scientific Council and a
member of the Metrology Commission. Since 2019, he holds the position of Vice
Rector at Metropolitan Tirana University.
