Research Center
The Scientific Research Center of the Metropolitan Tirana University conducts independent research activities and academic research activities in support of the Faculty of Computer Science and IT, the Faculty of Engineering and Architecture and the Faculty of Economics. In the framework of projects of national and international character, the Research Center cooperates with other development research units inside and outside the country.
Research areas include research in computer science and IT, engineering and architecture, and economics; national and international conferences; symposia and seminars; publications; development of continuing education courses and other forms of research deepening approved by the governing structures of the Metropolitan Tirana University.

Metropolitan Tirana Journal of Business and Economics (MTJBE) is a scientific journal in the field of economics and business, which is published annually by the Metropolitan Tirana University in online and printed form, since 2017.
The main objective of the MTJBE is to provide an intellectual platform for researchers to present alternative paradigms in the field of economics and business. The Metropolitan Tirana Journal of Business and Economics (MTJBE) welcomes studies in all areas of Business and Economics, such as socio-economic issues, economic development, financial markets, savings and capital investment, corporate governance and finance, leadership and management, policies fiscal and monetary, unemployment, financial crisis, poverty, social security, public debt, the fight against corruption, the informal economy, business management, human resource management, etc.
The views expressed in the publication are the responsibility of the authors and all intellectual property rights of the works accepted for publication belong to the Metropolitan Tirana Journal of Business and Economics for an indefinite period of time. Acceptance of the article implies the automatic transfer of copyright to the MTJBE.
The works are accepted for review with the conviction that the same work has not been published before (except in the form of an abstract), is not for publication elsewhere, will not be published in another journal during the review process at the MTJBE, and that its presentation for publication in this journal has been approved by all authors.
Metropolitan Tirana Journal of Science, Engineering and Architecture (MTJSEA) is a scientific journal in the field of Engineering and Architecture, which is published annually by Metropolitan University Tirana in online and printed form, since 2017. MTJSEA’s main objective is to provide an intellectual platform for researchers to present alternative paradigms in the natural sciences, engineering and architecture.
Works prepared in Albanian must have an abstract in Albanian and English. All works are verified for their originality through the use of originality test software. Then all the submitted works are read by the editorial staff and only those documents that meet the editorial criteria of MTJSEA are sent for formal review.
After the initial editorial evaluation, the works are subject to double-blind peer review by two anonymous reviewers. On average, the review process takes 3-4 months. The paper is accepted or rejected depending on the conclusion of the reviewer and the decision of the editor. The results of the review of the paper can be in 4 forms: review accepted / review with minor changes / review with major changes or rejected.
The reasons why a paper can be rejected are: lack of scientific innovation, insufficient originality or inconsistency in the scientific field covered by the journal. Authors are notified of the editor’s decision and requests for review via email address.
