Starting from September 5 and for the following month, the school of architecture at #UMT organizes “Design and the City”, a polyvalent activity in themes and locations related to architecture and design. Everything comes through cooperation with foreign architects visiting Tirana, with design studios and local and international partners such as Inspireli Education, D-Works Architecture, Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism, Gjyms Hana interior design studio, etc.
Under the inspiration of the “Situationist” movement, the activities that will take place in different places of Tirana, aim to create a transformation action and open a discourse about architecture and design through workshops, exhibitions or open lectures, in a city that it is changing daily.
The range of activities will include topics such as: designing an apartment, 3D modeling/printing, prefab housing transformations, urban and city scale design, etc., with the participation of architecture students at #UMT and beyond, who they will also have an exhibition with their works.
