Dr. Denis Veliu is a lecturer in the Finance and Banking Department, Faculty of Economics at University Metropolitan Tirana. He completed his higher studies at the “Sapienza Università di Roma” University in Rome, Italy. In 2015, he completed his doctoral studies in Mathematics for Economic and Financial Applications. After completing his studies, Dr. Denis Veliu has worked as a lecturer at a number of universities in Albania, and at the American University of the Middle East in Kuwait.
At the Metropolitan University of Tirana, he is the head of the Finance Banking Department, Coordinator of the Master of Science in Financial Engineering and Risk Management and lecturer in the subjects Mathematics, Mathematics in Finance, Applied Mathematics for business, Financial Modeling, Application in Matlab and Investment and Portfolio Management. He is the author of several scientific papers referred to various conferences in Italy, Turkey, France, Switzerland, Belgium and Albania. Dr. Denis Veliu is also an external lecturer at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, in the subject of Graph Optimization in the Master’s program.
