Architecture Integrated Second Cycle Program

The integrated second cycle program in Architecture at the University Metropolitan Tirana prepares students with contemporary scientific knowledge in the field of architecture, enabling in-depth professional knowledge in other disciplines related to it. At the Metropolitan Tirana University, the Architecture program is offered with five different study profiles, which are Architect, Architect-Restorer, Architect-Engineer, Bio-Architect and Interior-Architect.

This program is implemented in an integrated manner, introduced as a 5-year cycle with 300 ECTS. During this cycle, students take courses such as design and drawing, urban design, material technology, geotechnics, architectural design studios, as well as the theory of architecture or the history of urban planning. Also, through computer programs such as AutoCAD 2D and 3D, Photoshop, 3D Studio Max, etc. the student gains practical knowledge and interdisciplinary skills. In their last two years, students choose to specialize in one of the five study profiles depending on their interests and professional goals. At the end of the 5-year study cycle, graduates can be employed in design studios, construction companies, public administrations such as ministries and local governmental offices, consulting studios or they may prefer to work as freelancers. They also have the opportunity to conduct research and further studies in the academy.
