UMT students have the opportunity to study in higher education institutions in Europe through the Erasmus+ Programme, which is a Programme funded by the European Commission.
This is referred to as International Credit Mobility (ICM) and falls under Key Action 1 (KA171). The program allows Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD students to study abroad for one or two semesters and receive credits towards their degree.
Furthermore, Erasmus+ Programme allows students to follow traineeships and expand their professional skills. Once the mobility period ends, students return to UMT to complete their studies and have the credits they earned recognized.
The European Commission finances a grant and travel expenses based on distance for each nominated student during their mobility, and tuition fees are waived at the host university.
