Dr.Nikolla Nika - Head of Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering and Architecture

 
Graduated in Civil Engineering at the University of Tirana, Dr. Nicholas Nika has a long experience in the field of industrial civil construction and in the academic world. He completed his studies in Electrical Engineering at the University of Tirana, while in 1997 he completed his specialization at the Polytechnic University of Athens on concrete and iron adhesion problems.

Professor Nikola Nika has worked for a long time at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, where he has lectured and given seminars in the fields of material resistance, theoretical mechanics, resilience theory, theory of modeling of building structures, etc.He has done many studies in the field of structure optimization, experimentation, tensometry, photo elasticity and space structures, while working as a freelance engineer contributing his expertise to many important projects.


 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Mustafa Şimşek - Head of Department of Computer Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and IT

 
Dr. Mustafa Şimşek completed his studies in Computer Engineering while defending his doctorate at International Blacksea University in Georgia in the field of Computer Science.

He has extensive experience as a professional in the field of computer engineering and information technology, as well as an academic. He has been engaged as a research fellow at Zurich University of Technology in Switzerland, and has held the position of Dean of the Faculty of Engineering at International Ataturk Alatoo University in Kyrgyzstan. In the following, Dr. Şimşek was part of the Fatih University in Istanbul, where he also held the position of Deputy Director of the Technical School in this institution.

Since 2017 he is a part of Metropolitan Tirana University as Head of Computer Engineering Department. His areas of expertise include computer architecture, programming languages, algorithms, networking technologies, mobile technologies, and more.

 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Ali Uzer - Head of Department of Electrical Engineering, Faculty of Computer Science and IT

 
Dr. Ali Uzer është Përgjegjës i Departamentit të Inxhinierisë Elektrike në Fakultetin e Shkencave Kompjuterike dhe IT në Universitetin “Metropolitan Tirana”. Ai ka një eksperiencë të gjerë akademike në disa universitete të huaja, si Universiteti “Gaziantep”, Universiteti “Mustafa Kemal” dhe Universiteti “Fatih” në Turqi, si edhe në “Regent University” në Gana.

Profesor Uzer ka përfunduar doktoraturën në Universitetin “Gaziantep”. Ai është i specializuar në makineritë elektrike, teorinë e valëve elektromagnetike, teorinë e cirkuiteve, në sinjale dhe sisteme dixhitale apo analoge etj. Është autor i mbi dhjetë punimeve shkencore në fushën e inxhinierisë elektrike dhe ka mbajtur disa konferenca dhe seminare ndërkombëtare.
 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Dritan Osmani - Head of Department of Economic Informatics, Faculty of Economics

 
Dr. Dritan Osmani first graduated from the Faculty of Mining Geology at the Polytechnic University of Tirana, and later completed his master's degree at the University of Kaiserslautern in Germany. In 2009 he completed his doctorate at the University of Hamburg.

Dr. Osmani has been engaged as a researcher and lecturer at several universities at home and abroad, starting from the Polytechnic University of Tirana, the Fraunhofer Institute for Algorithms and Scientific Computing in Germany, the University of Hamburg and the University of Rovira Virgili in Spain.

Since 2017 she is part of the Metropolitan Tirana University. He currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Economic Informatics at the Faculty of Economics. Dr. Pjetër Ndreca – Përgjegjës i Departamentit të Financës, Fakulteti i Ekonomisë

 
Dr. Pjetër Ndreca ka përfunduar studimet për financë në Universitetin Bujqësor të Tiranës, ndërsa ka fituar edhe gradën Doktor i Shkencave në fushën e ekonomisë dhe agrobiznesit. Profesor Ndreca ka një eksperiencë të gjatë në administratën publike, ku ka mbajtur poste drejtuese në institucione të rëndësishme si Ministria e Brendshme apo Ministria e Financave.

Ai ka një sërë certifikimesh, ndër të cilat “Auditues i Brendshëm në Sektorin Publik” apo “Trajner i Standardeve Ndërkombëtare të Kontabilitetit të Sektorit Publik”. Profesor Ndreca është autor dhe bashkëautor i rreth 30 artikujsh shkencorë të botuara brenda dhe jashtë vendit.

Në vitet 2014-2017, Dr. Ndreca ka qenë Dekan i Fakultetit të Ekonomisë në Kolegjin Universitar të Biznesit. Më pas, në vitet 2017-2019 ka drejtuar Departamentin e Financës dhe Kontabilitetit në Fakultetin e Ekonomisë në KUB. Prej vitit 2019 mban detyrën e Përgjegjësit të Departamentit të Financës dhe Zëvendës Dekanit të Fakultetit të Ekonomisë në Universitetin Metropolitan Tirana.
 
 
 
 
 

Dr. Roland Subashi - Head of Department of Administration Sciences, Faculty of Economics

 
Graduated in Economics from International University in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Dr. Roland Subashi has a long career in the banking system and in the academic world. After completing his bachelor's degree, he completed his master's degree at the University of Tirana and Nebraska, United States of America, and then in 2015 he completed his doctorate at the University of Tirana.

Dr. Subashi has been part of the International Commercial Bank, Credit Bank of Albania, Veneto Bank and United Bank of Albania. He has also worked in the public administration, where he held the position of Deputy Director and Director of Inspection Department at the General Directorate of Prevention of Money Laundering and at the Ministry of Finance. Since 2008 he has been an external lecturer at the Faculty of Economics of the University of Tirana, and since September 2019 he is part of the Metropolitan Tirana University, where he holds the position of Head of the Department of Administration Sciences. She has completed a number of trainings at home and abroad, such as in Switzerland, Luxembourg, Austria, USA, France or Italy in the field of finance and technology.
